Q. Why should I book with Wishes Character Company?

You have a lot of WONDERFUL options when it comes to character entertainment in New England! We’re thrilled to exist in a market where each one of us can thrive on our uniqueness and what makes us special.

★ Consistency- We know how important it is to be consistent in what we offer. Every photo and video that you see on our website and social media is reflective of what you will receive on the day of your party. ALL of our fairytale friends & princesses sing LIVE on the day of your child’s event. We are CONSISTENT in what we offer, and always will be.

★ Quality- It is easy for anyone to put on a wig and a dress. We don’t just appear at your front door and call it a day; we show you that we love what we do. We hire only those who love to make magic for children, and expect no less. We spend countless hours researching and perfecting the mannerisms, movements, and colloquialisms of the characters your child knows and loves. We wear the highest quality costumes, wigs, accessories, and shoes that this industry has to offer. Anyone can dress up as a character, but Wishes Character Company yearns to show you that the QUALITY of our appearance and performance is what makes us stand out from the rest.

★ Immersion- When you travel to somewhere new, you are immersed in a whole new environment. When we travel to you, we promise that you will be immersed in the magic of our performance. Your child is only young once, and we want them to hold the special memories they make in their childhoods closely to their hearts as you do. Our performers will entertain, enchant, and celebrate with your guests with one goal in mind; to make the most magic possible. We will IMMERSE you in the magic and make you relive that same childlike wonder we all once instinctively felt.

Q. What do I need to provide for my event?

Our performers will arrive dressed and prepared to execute all of your booked package’s planned activities. We even provide themed music during our visit to create a magical ambience! All we need from you is a nice, open space for the performer(s) and participating guests to enjoy the planned activities in. A chair for story time & a table and chairs for crafts/glitter tattoos would also be lovely!

If your party is outdoors, we kindly request that the space is shaded for the performer(s) and participating guests’ comfort.


Q. Where should I host my party?

We are delighted to perform at any location you’d like! However, for parties that are booked at a venue with entertainment and/or activities built into their rental (Ex: play cafés, children's boutiques, playgrounds, art studios, etc.), we highly recommend booking one of our 30-Minute Packages. We find that this is just the right amount of time for outside entertainment without impeding on any other scheduled activities that your booked venue provides.


Q. Can I host my party outside?

Of course! However, we cannot hold rain dates for any planned outdoor celebrations. Should you like to hold your event outdoors, we require a secondary location to perform our services in the event of rain or poor weather on the day your event. If your party is outside, we kindly request a shaded space for the characters to perform their planned activities.

MASCOT PARTIES: As stated in our private event contract, Mascot parties cannot take place outdoors if the weather exceeds 85 degrees Fahrenheit for the safety of our performers. Please plan on an indoor location for your Mascot character on excessively warm & sunny days!


Q. When should I have the characters arrive?

We recommend that you book your characters’ arrival time about 30 minutes after your party begins. This allows for any guests who may arrive late to participate in all of our planned activities.

Please let us know if you would like the characters to participate in singing “Happy Birthday”/cake cutting! We will account for this when we begin to wrap up our visit.


Q. Do infants count as “participating children” in my booked party package?

Children under the age of 2 do not count as “participating children” in any booked party package, so there’s no need to factor them into your head count!

However, we love celebrations for children of all ages, and highly recommend our 30-Minute Packages for your child’s party if they are turning 1, 2, or 3 years old! This is just the right amount of time for young attention spans before they’re ready for a new activity (or a royal nap!)


Q. Can I substitute an activity in my booked party package for something else?

Certainly! If you’d like your booked character to participate in a special activity with your little one (Ex: Opening a special present with them, join in on a pre-planned craft or game, etc.) we’d be more than happy to do so!

Alternatively, if you’d rather us switch out an activity in one of our packages (Ex: Exchange temporary tattoos for another game or dance), we’d be delighted to do that too. Don’t hesitate to let us know how we can make your event extra magical!

Due to the length of time they take & cost of materials, Premium Glitter Tattoos and Character-Themed Crafts are only available for our 1.5 Hour Package.


Q. I don’t think I’ll need a Royal Attendant at my party. Could I book my package without one?

At Wishes Character Company, we “pixie dust promise” to give our clients a seamless, streamlined, and professional party experience that you & your child will remember for years to come. As assistants to you and our character performers, our Royal Attendants are crucial in making this promise a reality for you. For these reasons, Royal Attendants are a non-negotiable component of our party packages.


Q. Do you offer charity events, corporate events, and business collaborations?

Q. What is your deposit/cancellation policy?

We require a 50% non-refundable deposit upon booking to secure your requested date, time, character(s), and package on our calendar. This deposit is collected so we ensure that your requested date & time is reserved for you & only you! Should you wish to cancel your event, this deposit will be kept as a cancellation fee.

Should you like to reschedule your party due to illness or inclement weather, we would be more than happy to transfer your deposit for another date that you and Wishes Character Company can both accommodate.


Q. Should I tip my performers?

While gratuity is never required at our events, if you feel our performer(s) did a truly exceptional job, it is always greatly appreciated. A 5-Star review on Google helps our small business grow tremendously and would also mean just as much!
